Commissions

The creation of a commissioned piece of artwork is a personal and interactive process. It is important for me to understand exactly what you want and for you to understand the creative process. The free flow of ideas, facts, and feelings is essential to the completion of a piece that meets your needs and expectations.

Initial Contact
One of the best ways to get to know my artwork and me is through this web site. Take some time to look at my Gallery page. Get familiar with my style, my work's diverse subject matter, and the media that I use to create an original drawing, painting, or mixed-media piece. You'll find that I am very flexible and that I consider each commission to be unique. If you are interested in commissioning a piece of original artwork, please contact me. I can create both large-scale and smaller pieces to fit your needs. We can discuss the details, and I will give you an idea of my current work schedule.

Consultation
The nature of the consultation will depend upon you. If you are interested in the depiction of a period or event in history, a hunting or fishing scene, or any other subject matter, let's discuss the possibilities. I can create artwork from a good photograph or find good reference through my own research. We can use e-mail to keep in contact, helping to ensure that I create the piece that is right for you.

Pricing
Price depends on many factors, which include size, medium, reference material, and schedule. Upon your approval of a commission's specifications, price, and schedule, I will require a 50 percent down payment before beginning the project. Upon the project's completion, the balance will be due. Once full payment is received, you will own the original artwork; I will retain reproduction rights, unless other arrangements are negotiated.

Thank you for your interest in my artwork.
